“Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down.”

Yoga (Sanskrit: योग yoga with “union, connection” in a broader sense simply “unity/harmony”) is a philosophy of life. For thousands of years the teaching of yoga, which originally comes from India, has been concerned with the totality of the human body.

Yoga is about bringing the thoughts and the mind to rest. The goal is to come into stillness. Only when it is quiet, when our mind is no longer flooded with unwanted thoughts, can we establish contact with ourselves. In addition to the mind, the whole body is equally addressed and exercised in strength, endurance and flexibility.

Yoga can be seen as gentle or challenging fitness training or as a form of therapy, ethical lifestyle or spiritual experience. There are many reasons to start with yoga immediately – for everyone, anytime, anywhere, at any age. Well-being, balance and more energy are just a few of the many benefits.

Too good to be true? Give it a try! I look forward to the time together on the mat! Namasté.

Hatha Yoga

This yoga style combines the traditional postures (asanas) from Hatha Yoga in a pleasant tempo, sometimes more moving, sometimes calmer, so that a completely natural movement from one asana to the next arises. Combined with conscious breathing and appropriate breathing exercises (pranayama), this way you benefit from the millennia-old wisdom of India. After a Hatha Yoga class you feel grounded, empowered and yet comfortably light.

Yin Yoga

This quiet class is based on Chinese medicine and the Hatha Yoga system. Here the body is brought into harmony not through strengthening but through gentle movements, long stretches and letting go. Yin Yoga has a targeted effect on the connective tissue, tensions and contractions can be released, deep-seated pain and stress can be reduced. This very gentle form of exercise invites you to linger, to be and to discover a space of inner silence.

About me

Yoga is for me much more than just a passion, it is a philosophy of life that gives me access to myself every day, a school of life that teaches me to listen, to myself, my body and my environment. Yoga enables me to live attentively, consciously and with gratitude in the here and now.
The fascination of what asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation can do for body and mind led me to India, yoga’s country of origin. I soon realized that I wanted to pass on this knowledge and enthusiasm and thus enrich the lives of others with a piece of awareness, movement, lightness and relaxation.

My yoga classes are like life itself, sometimes calm, sometimes playful, sometimes challenging and always with a smile. Yoga is for everyone. With my distinct empathy I can respond to the different needs and abilities for the well-being of all.
