In Zermatt everything is a little different. Instead of the noise of cars, you hear the clippety-clop of horse-drawn carriages and the quiet whirring of electromobiles. Breathe in the fresh air and stay for a while at our place and experience something a little different!
Arrival
By car
Zermatt is car-free. The access for private traffic is only allowed up to Täsch (5 km before Zermatt). In Täsch there are parking garages and public parking spaces available. Some car parks offer a taxi service to and from Zermatt. From Täsch, shuttle trains of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn run every 20 minutes.
By train
In Visp and Brig, the railway has direct access to the modern narrow-gauge railway of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn, which reaches Zermatt in an hour and a half's journey through the wildly rugged and romantic Visp Valley.
Train travel is rewarded! From a stay of at least 3 nights, we will change you from 2nd to 1st class on the Visp to Zermatt route! You can buy your ticket at the SBB ticket machine or online. You can find more information here. Show your ticket at check-in. The environment thanks you!
Location
Our hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the centre of town. For the Sunnegga/Rothorn area, you can take the elevator which goes directly to the bottom station which is above the hotel. If you would like to go to the Matterhorn Express or Gornergrat, we recommend taking the bus which runs regularly from the bridge, 5 minutes away from the hotel.
Shuttle service
Direct bookers can use the pick-up service for arrival and departure from 7.30 a.m. to 12.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. free of charge. Please call us at the train station in Zermatt, we will be happy to pick you up.
